Among representatives of 23 nations from five continents, the representatives of Serbia Organica, Ivana Simić and Pavle Đorđević, presented our country and our first biodistrict, Kolubara, in the best possible light at the World Biodistrict Congress, held in Portugal, in the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, from July 29 to August 2, under the slogan “One Health, One Planet”.
It was also an occasion to celebrate 20 years since the birth of the first biodistrict, which took place in Cilento, Italy, https://www.ecoregion.info/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/CILENTO-brochure_EN.pdf after which biodistricts began to spread around the world. Serbia is a signatory to the Declaration of this World Congress, which recommends defined priorities and tasks for the further development and establishment of biodistricts around the world over the next five years.
As part of the exhibition section, organic wines from Plavinci Winery https://www.plavinci.rs/ and other organic products from Serbia were presented.

Развој Биодистрикта Колубара је подржан кроз пројекат "Од зрна до одрживости – прехрамбени системи за све", који финансира Заједнички SDG фонд. Пројекат спроводе FAO, UNEP и UN WOMAN у сарадњи са Министарством пољопривреде, шумарства и водопривреде.
За садржину овог материјала је одговоран искључиво БК/СО и она не одражава званичне ставове Заједничког SDG фонда или УН агенција укључених у пројекат.
